Ferryfolk

Introducing Ferryfolk, a low-fi journey down the river Styx. Based on 24XX Ferryfolk is a 4 page microgame about guiding lost souls to their final destination.

Ferryfolk

Another day, another fare, another series of mysterious islands to traverse. You are a Ferryfolk, though there are those who call you by an older name: Psychopomp. Your job is to guide lost souls down the river Styx and see them to their final destination unharmed and hopefully having learned a life lesson or two.

Only the weirdest and most difficult cases draw multiple Ferryfolk to a single boat, and you've been selected for the job! Travel from island to island facing the Fare's fears and memories and guide them to be a better person before they reach their Destination

Based on the 24XX rules by Jason Tocci. Ferryfolk is a 4 page laid-back journey down the River Styx designed for 2-4 players plus a GM. Designed for one-shots but contains rules for character advancement to facilitate longer term play. Can be played solo with a bit of creativity and your favorite Oracle (like the Mythic GM Emulator).

Also included is a short story in epub format: Placid River, by Alex Ward (me, cthos!) which attempts to capture the vibe of the game (or rather the game captures the vibe of the story?).
